The Friends of the Palm Springs Library’s Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, March 15th from 2-4pm at the Mizell Center. You’ll hear from the Friends, the Library, and a special guest speaker, photographer Deb Smith. Deb has curated and shown her work at many galleries in Los Angeles and Palm Springs, including a five month solo show at the Palm Springs Library. Deb started taking photos at a young age with her Kodak and Polaroid cameras. It became a lifelong passion. She continued honing her craft with photography with classes in graduate school. Following the purchase of a mid-century modern house in 1994, she focused her work on mid-century modern buildings locally and on her travels. In January, 2020, she curated a major architectural photography show at the Neutra Gallery in Silverlake. We hope to see you there! (There will be refreshments, too!)
