The last day that the Palm Springs Public Library will be open to the public will be Friday, August 8th, 2025, closing at 5:00p. The Library temporary location will open on Monday, August 25. 2025 at Rimrock Plaza at 4721 E. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, 92264. The Renovation Closing Party will still be held on Saturday, July 19th from 1p – 4p at the Palm Springs Public Library. We’ll kick off the event celebrating the Summer Reading Finale from 1p – 2p and then the Closing party full of activities at 2p – 4p. The Friends of the Palm Springs Library will continue to sell books at the Library while it’s open and accept donations, however, the Friends will relocate to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church on Ramon Rd. and will resume accepting donations at the Church location on August 11th, 2025 by appointment. The Friends will also have a regular book sale area at the temporary home of the Library at Rimrock Plaza with our monthly book sales coming soon at the Church.
